"Because, I am a Loner, have been and always will be" I say.

I am a Loner,
In this World,
I am Alone.
In this Life,
I am Alone.
In this Pain,
I am Alone.

I have always been on My own,
Always making my Own way,
Through this Life,
Through this Pain.

Never had many Friends,
Never had many Loves,
Always been by Myself.
Always.

I keep to Myself,
I stay in the Shadows,
I work in the Darkness.

Few People I let inside,
I keep myself Guarded,
Against them,
Against the World.

Many ask me "Why?",
It's so I can be Me.
So I can Live,
So I can Be.

Low I do Love my Friends,
I do look out for Them,
I keep them Safe.
But I do it in Shadow.

I keep myself on the Outside,
Always Looking In.

I keep my Pain in Secret,
Always Dying within.

Forever a Loner,
Shall I Be.
Forever Alone,
That is Me.

No One Knows Me,
Because I won't let them See.
What I keep Inside is Hard,
It is something I don't want Others to Know.

So,
I am a Loner.
Forerver...............
And Always....

Nice write. I think all of us who guard or watch over our friends feel like this. Very well written.
