I have dreamed the rusty scarlet fire. I have dreamed the impenetrable, sapphire sky split black by the breaking of the sun.
I have dreamed the deepest depths of dreams, but I have not dreamed of you.

I have dreamed the soft, autumnal eyes of spring pressing lightly on the leaves of trees, and I have dreamed the winter’s cold engulfing breeze, but in so much as I have dreamed, I have not dreamed of you.

I have never dreamed the wild expanse of your fingers, or how, as a small flower shining silver in the rain, your fingers open, or as the rain itself, collides, how your fingers close.

I have never dreamed the sad perennial storm that swells in the drink of your eyes, never of the dusk that fails at the persistent towers of your hair, never of the distant thunder of your tears.

I have never dreamed the lithe and fragile force your whispers hold command, never the reckless waters of your heart, never the stumbling awkward grace of your love.

And so, in as much as I have dreamed, in as much as there is to dream, and to what terrible beautiful faces I have dreamed, I have not dreamed of you, and because I have not dreamed of you, I have not truly dreamed.

You gave my eyes the burning sensations of tears reading this. Your style and play on words are off the charts.
