always gets burned.
but the fascination persists,
again and again it licks at their fingers,
and then it bites,
leaves its mark, on body and mind
fascination suppressed, intrest gone
lesson learned
but not for long
memory fades, and body heals
fascination grows, intrest builds
the child plays with fire
they are cautious-at first,
but they always loose control
fire sits, biding its time
for when gaurds are let down,
and carelessness sets in
time is now, it strikes, hard and fast
chared remains leave a crippling effect
daily reminder of what should have been learned
the child won't forget this time
they wont play that game again
they're done, fascination is dead [comments] => 4 [counter] => 184 [topic] => 43 [informant] => lovestruck [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Excellent message in this one. We always tend to be fascinated by what isn't good for us. Good job!

Nice. Good lessons to be learned. Firstly, never play with fire! :)
