Array ( [sid] => 12911 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Fighter Of Your Tears [time] => 2003-02-18 22:40:00 [hometext] => Let's face it, depression sucks. And when a loved one is suffering through it..it seems there are no lengths we won't go to...to try and make them feel some sort of comfort [bodytext] => I would push the boundaries of my love into oblivion
If it would help to ease your troubled weary soul
I would offer myself to the allmighty mercy of evil
If it would cease your endless aching river of tears
I would capture and giftwrap my last breathe for you
If it could only quiet your senseless suffering

I've heard your monsterous screams of anger
I've felt your ever weakening grip
The ache that dwells deep within your being
Is frantically dying to get out
It's threatening to take over and terrorize your mind
We've got to put a leash on it and protect your fragile heart

Let's wipe those rolling tears away
Let's urge your will to fight
We've got to keep your fires surging
And kill it's diabolical yearning to live
We can puncture through your screaming heartache
And let it simply bleed to death

We'll call upon your destined plan
We'll leave it in fates hands
We'll use every single ounce of love
You've kept a prisoner until this day
God willing you'll live out your life
And always will I stand by you and hold your brittle hand [comments] => 9 [counter] => 363 [topic] => 25 [informant] => Lia [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

Very true... very true. It's very hard to see someone go through this agony... harder still when it's yourself. I have seen both... you are a true friend to write such a piece. Great write...

The commitment, love and sacrifice you show in your desperate attempt to help another gain the strength they need to gain within themselves is quite vividly and longingly painted in the fine piece of work.
