I see the outline of your form,
And see the corners of your face,
I feel your eyes upon me,
Yet I don’t know why I came,
Never made since why I turn when you call my name,
You in the darkness,
Close yet unseen clearly,
I ponder on what you might be wanting,
Then know you don’t know that yourself,
I question again why I came once more,
To the room with no lights on,
Only the glow of the one window peeking through,
The light illuminates the white wall,
Turning it to a dull grey,
And the tops of furniture beam like candles,
Should I stay or should I run far away?
I don’t know if you could ever love me,
But I’m here all the same,
You lay in the darkness still,
The tension pouring ceaselessly,
All throughout my shivering body,
I remember what your hands on my face feels like,
I know what your kiss tastes of,
And your affectionate embrace fills up,
Yet I sit unmoved by my emotions,
As they build ever onward,
In the room shaded in darkness,
You remain wanting me with uncertainty,
Here in the darkness of midnights time,
I wonder if you should always be mine,
The air is tick with unspoken revelation,
More then emotion, feelings, or desire,
With lust just a word left far behind,
And passion more for the soul then body,
All for you I would breathe and die,
Yet in the room where shadows abide,
I keep my distance,
And pray one day you will decide,
I must walk once more into the light of day,
Out your door and on my way,
But my heart with you won’t go away,
So let be or let me leave,
For in this darkness I stay,
Until the time you let me know,
If you do or don’t want me,
In this darkness I for you shall wait.

wow this is a very powerful and emotional write.. from the sounds of it sounds like your unclear with someone and they are not giving you a straight answer.. if that is the case i wouldn't wait for them.. you will be waiting forever.. you shouldn't be kept in the shadows if you are cared about.
anways.. awesome write and i can feel the sadness

You're stronger on matters of the heart than I. I couldn't wait. I've learnt that. Even now knowing that I spend every night alone, that I have no-one to give myself, my heart, my soul, my art and my purpose to, I still cannot wait.
Honestly, I don't get what it is about love. I've been in many places and had many experiences and yet love is all I really want in life.
This poem really sends me into a spiral of thoughts. Both because of the obvious, yet hidden love and because of the confusing mix of the environment. It almost feels like a dream I had where shadow ppl were robbing me. I was stuck and confused. I was sure that they were ppl I knew... It's had to explain, but the point is the obscurity and the mix of emotions.
Very good write!
