Only problem is I’m going the wrong way
Jesus isn’t calling, and Satan’s door is closed
Fork in the road, and everything is blocked but down

My inquisitions they call insalubrious
Everything dismissed, day to night
Dropped my thoughts all over the floor
Continuing on blind, I’m starting from square one

Through the eye of god, the emerald glass
Flames erupt about, tentively reaching for the sky
Eternal hell, I think not
Just a burning place where souls rot

Ignoring the heat, is quite the feat
But not impossible, if you forget despair
The emotionless mind bypasses the pain
Though it can’t feel the joy of escaping either

Freedom from flame
Entering the blue, while still crimson stained
Wandering without a place to inhabit, cursing fate
Lost by yourself in the afterlife, where no open arms wait [comments] => 1 [counter] => 216 [topic] => 43 [informant] => The_View [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
