Following the hearse that carries grandfather
Its hard to keep my head up
These footsteps arent real steady
As Im trying to keep pace
Leading a somber procession
Side by side with those akin
I understand whats happened
But I dont think Ill ever know why
Hand clasped to the casket handle
Spectrum of doubt while I let go
Left with photos I wont forget
Watching the tears on mothers face
Saying my final goodbyes
Staring of into the distance
Hoping life is just a sojourn
Before we get to go home
