America quite the country indeed
Supposedly the land of the brave and the free
Yes a country like no other
Bomb their own towers and blame it on another

Can condone their bombs by their moral stands
Christian folks in a Christian land
Carry guns and rifles in god's name
Call all the others in the world inane

We hurry to the grave those that can speak
No secrets to be told by those who are weak
We pump you up and train you well
Only to torture you in our hells

Wrap the rope around the bullies neck
Heckle him before he hangs till death
You cry for blood of peoples lost
While you dance and sing at the hanging post

Aren't wel all ashamed of our government? I say it's not the system, it's the people that run it, but that can't be helped. People don't become president and whatnot so that they can help people, no matter what they say.

When Hussein was executed citizens of Dearborn, Michigan came out in to the cold to celebrate his demise as if they won the Superbowl.
I wondered how many were Iraqi's who actually suffered under his tyranny. Then I realized any opportunity to party is often welcomed. Think how some will breakout when they catch or confirm the demise of Osama bin Laden. From the Hanging Post to the whipping post...

In my humble opinion the legacy of the United States is far more soiled and bloodied then just the recent events of G.W. Bush's regime...

Perhaps one day the United States will pay its debts and the Americas will emerge as one people who care for all.

A very provocative piece...Blessings...

Peace
AJ

sis, yes I am ashamed as well. Though you know of my perspective as far as Saddam goes. There are many things I am distressed greatly with at this time in life.

After hearing about Saddam's disgust with and hatred for the radical Islam of the Shia and how now 80% of Iraq is of the Shia bend and that now the "democracitizing" of Iraq to basically a radical Islam and consequent terrorist nation is what our troops are actually fighting for! I'm so danged confused I don't know what to think anymore. And the government, putrid politicians, oil 'n' money boys a la americana will never let us in on the real skinny of what's goin' on. Same thing goes with illegal immigration. Same thing goes with everything they do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, thanks for the hangin' post, Laura.
