peaks the moon
empty hollows
gliding through
waves chasing down the shore
my heart sunk deep
cold and sore

memories alone make one stumble
past is stranger than it seems
signs of life...
dawns the night
clinging on...
pushing through...
with nothing in their minds

building a home...
made of hopes and dreams
thinking you'll be strong
with promises alone
travelling afar, facing what?
alive but not moving
dreaming without waking...

Deeply emotive write,
I loved alive but not moving
dreaming without waking....

Beautiful in its sadness, good images, it flows along like a stream, nicely done

The title totally captured me. Your write is well penned. I love the first stanza, it just set the scene really well. Good stuff.

I found this haunting, Lost and wandering . Much like the last days of a Butterflies Life. Knowing from the beginning that its the final end which is a true beginning.
