She speaks...

" Doubt not, I mean to have my way in this~

& you presume much in causing my delay

Think you to have left me so daft by a kiss~

that I'd be by your command made to stay...

For you, I've neither time nor inclination~

to explain what I alone need understand

And, will suffer no futher instigation~

before hard felt is the back of my hand..."

He speaks...

" I doubt not that you mean to have your way~

or that, I've dared much made bold by your kiss

Still in this, I mean to have my own say~

whether or not leaves grant by your highness...

While, I'd rather my arms your destination~

never twice need you ask to be unhand

For though, I've suffered your intimidation~

think not, I'll ever be by unmanned..."

I like the dialogue you established and relates as an inner argument between ones anima and animus trying to find the ground of belonging.

I like feeling the battle of wills here:

"...He speaks...

" I doubt not that you mean to have your way~

or that, I've dared much made bold by your kiss

Still in this, I mean to have my own say~

whether or not leaves grant by your highness..."

Making sarcasm at that which he cannot take away from you...Princess Queen Or Empress your rule is by divine right..
So says the knights of your royal court.

Bravo

Peace
AJ

Righteous poem, I would have to say that this is probably my second favorite escaping memories installment. I hope that this line of stories continues on much like the never-ending story.

I love a creative style such as this; it really adds depth and impact to each and every thought and emotion. There's a tongue-in-cheek attitude here that cannot be escaped either, and that's always something I admire in writing. There was one part in here that I must admit, screamed out at me. It reminded me very much of a situation I have been dealing with in recent months:

For you, I've neither time nor inclination~

to explain what I alone need understand

And, will suffer no futher instigation~

before hard felt is the back of my hand..."

Well done!
