" Happily Ever After "

She now sits all alone
with her broken heart
her eyes are in a daze
her life is now confusion
future taken away
her world is just a maze
She holds her head up high
never loosing hope
she wipes back all the tears
the words of love once heard
fading in her past
she hears them faintly echo in her ears
She gently holds her hands
clutching her past love
she slowly bows her head
she wonders is life worth living
its hard to carry on
she thinks its better to be dead
It was that other woman
wedging in between
that came to steal his heart
he wanted her young beauty
eyes as cold as ice
he thought that he was smart
She hears her child crying
missing all the love
she knows just what to do
I am sorry precious child
she holds her little hand
its now just me and you
A few years pass her by
still thinking of her man
while walking down the street
a very good looking man
slowly passed her by
and then they came to meet
He looked into her eyes
suddenly mesmerized
he cleared up her confusion
was this beautiful lady real?
standing here with him
or just another illusion
They decide to set a date
dinner and a movie
right there on the street
they glance up to the sky
a twinkle in their eye
a blessing that they meet
Just a few months later
he had a gift for her
a diamond engagement band
he got down on his knees
looked into her eyes
he asked her for her hand
She smiled oh so warmly
tears flowed down her face
her daughter screamed out yes
it was just three months later
in a little church
she wore her wedding dress
Two sad souls now were joined
both becoming one
the confetti lay on the street
a union made in heaven
a destiny their fate
a blessing that they meet
Living Happily Ever After
once upon a time
in a small little town
embracing their beautiful love
each and every day
neither have a frown
Many years have passed
growing old together
he strongly loves her so
he holds her hand and says
I love you
I'll never let you go!!!!!

What an excellent tale of continuation to support the aphorism 'It is better to have loved and lost than never to have lost at all." A strong encouragement toward moving on in the face of loss and bereavement.
An excellent homage to this couples union.

Bravo

Peace
