I dedicate this to him as like my teddy bear sick that day-I will miss him forever. [bodytext] =>

My Teddy bear is sick today and had to stay in bed.
It seems he fell from the back of my bike and bumped his furry head.
I bandaged him as best I could and iced it fairly well.
Yet he is really out of sorts. Trust me I can tell.

I don’t know what to do when he is not beside me here.
There’s so much that we do each day whenever he is near.
We visit all the neighbours for cookies and a drink.
He helps me solve my problems. I like the way he thinks.

Sometimes he gets to go to church and wears his favorite coat.
One Sunday Reverend Donald even let him on his boat.
He liked the songs we sang that day; he knew most of the words.
Felt nervous on the water with all the noisy birds.

He added that he couldn’t swim and I had not known that.
He said the sun was very hot . I should have brought his hat.
He did have fun and thanked me for taking him that day.
He returned quite dry , no sunburn and we still had time to play.

He’s resting very quietly as I look into my bed.
I climb up close beside him; I think I’ll rest instead.
It’s not the same when I’m alone and he must stay behind.
I’m missing the adventures and all the things we’d find.

Tomorrow when he’s better I will take him to the zoo.
Father’s going to take me and said Teddy can come too.
I know we will have lots of fun with lots of time to laugh.
I wonder what Teddy will say when he sees that big giraffe.

If you should have a Teddy and you take him for a ride,
Make sure you have a special bag and tuck him safe inside.
I didn’t mean to drop him and bang his little head.
It’s all my fault poor Teddy had to spend his day in bed.
Sorry Teddy. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 197 [topic] => 55 [informant] => needledancing [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems )
