as you cut they scream
oh, can't you see the neverending battle
fought through out life?

Pick up the knife
stab someones life...
rip it to shreds
bring up the demon
the stampeding enemy
of hatred that everyone denies

Spitting up vengence
slit out a tounge
hurt someone again
drag them down
you are the only one that feels no remorse
let their venom takes it over played course

tired of fighting
tired of lying in shame
where to place all this blame?

do you stand with the crowd
or imprision your own thoughts to appease

screw all the money
when you got all power to make someone need.. you

Drench them in your falsness
playing on sympathy
their lost in your decitful symphony

droning and crooning its lyrical tune
you saw to the promise knowing
everything is a lie

I like how this starts dark with images I too have felt upon cutting into a tree then turns vile to finally end in a truth that takes a bite out of life.

Well Done

Peace

This was an amazing write. You are very talented and I like reading your poems because I can relate to them and the emotions. This was dark and emotional and just a bit of everything. Great poem.

Take care

Goodness, Jenni .. there is so much emotion in here.
I see an anger here risen from (what seems to me to be)
a promise of change and hope and then having that
ripped from the soul's heart. Yet in all the hostility, I
also feel a saddness. Saddness for what could be
and isn't. (Whether it's spherical in it's application or
more centralized to one or more people).

this was so incredibly thought-provoking and emotive.
excellent post!

You need to stop listening to that death metal stuff...lol ; ) This is very vivid in imagery and emotion... you have an edge to your poetry that wouldn't work for everyone, but it works quite well the way you manipulate words and just cut to the chase with their meaning. Love it!
