I look in the mirror and on my face I see lines where the tears have traveled,
Hair unraveled,
Why does the sadness of others sit upon my face?
Why the gaze of space?
It’s their pain not mine.
Yet I remember it like yesterday, fresh like a knife, how did I get through it?
Who was there to make the pain subside? Who taught me how not to hide the pain?
I can’t remember a face. Was it just time that took the memories away? Was it age?
Was it distance? Was it indifference? Was it denial?
Through the mist of tears the answer finds me.
It was Love.
Once again safe within the warmth of love it touches the depth of me.
I realize the power of just one love beam and I smile once more from the glow.

Love is the answer to many questions and I feel the cold sober mortality of this hitting home as well. Chin and with beam, smile & glow stay the course.

Blessings & Thank You for this post.

Peace
Yang

Wonderfully written and very inspiring! Reminds me of a sunbeam that just happens to, as I'm driving into the sun, always shine on my pickup right down from the sun! Sometimes there's two!! Your poems brings the same feeling of inspiration.

What an incredibly optimistic view..

I was warmed by the beautiful sentiments found in especially
the last two lines of this. And yet, I am reminded of those
that, even with love staring them straight in the face, still find it
hard to embrace and let the warmth of love comfort their
hearts with a peace unknown by any other emotion.

Beautiful work. Thank you for this ~
