The things you do
when you have
A few.
The falling down
the getting up.
Just to find
an empty cup.
The same emptyness
felt in my heart
which is why I sit and
drink alone
in the dark.
To solve A problem.
To make it go away.
But when something
happens I am the only
to blame.

| I think it's a little cliche. is there anything new that this poem brings to the table other than the same, rehashed descriptions you see in other drunk poems and that we all already knew? |
