I want a piece of your...poetry
and the best thing is it's just for me
your words are so full of artistry
you bring out poet in me.
I want to make you...write fo rme
give me more of those metaphors
and inject those inflections
to make me think I'm the one
that they're written for
I jus love to hear you...read
louder and louder as you repeat
over and over my stagename
as our writing builds heat
I wanna get in your...notebook
let me slip between your covers
and flip through your pages like no other
while I rewrite you with my pen
to ink into existence what has never been
'cause I know just what to do with it
I'm hooked on your...thoughts
so complex and dangerous they're more than hot
You know you got it
when you give me chills from across the block
See, we are so poetic
we need to collaborate
but I'm afraid you might take my heart and just...write it away
