While sanity slips away

Stuck in these crushing vices

Wondering if I should stay

As I sit in the corner

I contemplate life

Wondering if it's all worth

All the stuggle and strife

Couldn't even bare the thought

Of never knowing the truth

Seeing people fighting people

Elders fighting the youth

Doesn't seem to fit me

All the depression and sorrow

Do you think I'll be the same

When you see me on the 'morrow

I really liked this poem because for me it touched on how life can feel futile when humanity keeps making the same mistakes:
'Seeing people fighting people

Elders fighting the youth '
But then I also agree with the final part of the poem that as an individual we are always changing and the more we consider these cycles the more it helps to avoid them, because they are as much applicable to one individual as they are to all humanity.

Thought provoking,

Dom

I have always questioned everything.
Even those things people warned
that I should not question. I've tried to
avoid , in my life , the futile ways in
which other people waste their own.
It is always difficult to go against all
the blind maddnes that drives the
world. I believe we will know the truth
someday and if not than I shall make
my own. Loved your poem. As you can
see it brought out many emotions from
me. Take care , Truly , Doug

P.S. I hope to find you happy and well
on the 'morrow.
