Take the calm inside my eyes,
and let it guide you home.
Take my arms and use them
as your blanket every night.
Take my lips and hold them,
so we see without the light.
Take my head and place it
ever gently on your chest.
Take my legs in tangles
with your own, as we nest.
Take my skin, my back, my hair,
my tongue, my blood, my gift,
and hold me in your little sphere
until the darkness lifts.
Take anything you want, my dear,
it’s all forever free,
But you can never have my heart.
My love belongs to me. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 248 [topic] => 21 [informant] => butterat_zool [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Smooth, easy to read ---with no stumbling on words or rhyming schemes, and with a surprise bite at the end.

Which I find intriguing. Perhaps letting go is harder than allowing in. Just thinking aloud...

I also like that you submit poems on many different genres, emotions etc. You have diversity in you.

Keep writing!

Kye
