Array ( [sid] => 134184 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Scream into the Dark [time] => 2007-05-07 22:37:23 [hometext] => Do you ever get the sense that you cannot communicate your feelings to other people. That no one understands? I know i do. [bodytext] => Every time the wind screeches past your ears. It’s me, screaming for you –You just don’t know it-.
I’ll scream into the darkness…but you won’t reply.
I’ll reach into the fog that swamps my mind –and dig-.
I’ll pull at strands of luminous worry.
I’ll make a hole -Just a small hole though- Big enough, only, for my lips to pass through.
Big enough for me to speak.
I’ll tell you everything.
Sometimes the fog melts away, but a glass wall seems to appear.
In my world of grey, a technicoloured world shines.
Strangers walk past my world. Some more frequent than others.
Sometimes these frequent passers will pause for a moment and I feel their heat as they take a step towards the glass I hide behind –But then- they run back into their sun-kissed world.
I’ll call out, but I still don’t think you can hear.
You walk towards me, take my hand, stroke my hair.
You kiss my lips and the warmth flies into my stomach.
I tell you what is wrong, your smile fades to a look of concern –And then- you’re gone.
I’m screaming, into the darkness.
-Again-.

This was a very interesting and thought provoking poem. To me it seems to be a poem of unrequited love either parental or lover with an apathetic world watching. I know many people can empathize with this well written poem.
