Array ( [sid] => 134190 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Life Love and Nature... [time] => 2007-05-08 00:43:29 [hometext] => How quickly life passes us by and how quickly we grow to the ages our Grandparents were ..... [bodytext] => Can you remember as a young child growing
All adults towered and all were so knowing
Their hands seemed so large, as they peered in your cot
They would grin and smile, if they knew you or not

Then as a toddler, when you toddled around
They would laugh and comment as you rolled to the ground
They'd applaud and clap, as you took first step walking
And giggled and laughed when you first started talking ...

Give Nanny a kiss, they would say all the time
Didn't matter if you wanted, all sticky with grime.
Don't forget Grandpa... with his prickly beard
Preferred the other one regularly sheared!...

They would give you a bite of the food not allowed
They would give you a sip of the drinks too,... all proud
Then someone would grab you to sit on their knee
And you would be smiling, not knowing who, it would be!

So many faces, knowing only a few
Trying to escape and play like you do
Never quite getting where you wanted to go
A pretty young thing always on show

Then as time moved on and you reached the age 10
Suddenly people, weren't so interested, then....
sometimes you would play and get on their nerves
Learning what not to do, all learning curves

Then when your a teenager some covered in spots
Completely no interest, not like when a tot
Then all they do is tell you "TURN DOWN THE SOUND
As you play your hip music and lay on the ground

Then suddenly you're grown up with kids of your own
Everyone back again, some of them moan
They tell you the stories of when you were a kid
That your baby is doing all the things that YOU did!

And they're all suddenly crooning and fussing away
As your baby just lays there in innocent play
Then the days come..... when it's you looking on
At the child of your daughter or maybe your son

The people that fussed over you as a baby
Some gone to the next world some with us still maybe
And that's how it goes as time moves on by
Ahh life love and nature ....How wonderful....SIGH........

This couldn't be more appropriately written if it was in the bible lol. but it's so touchingly beautiful and heart warming. Nicely done.
