The wind howled And the trees were flattened The rain slashed And the flood swept the houses away Lightning struck And all was reduced to cinders The earth trembled And the last survivors fell within its depths The mountains groaned And the earth was suffocated by a blanket of Ash and fire
But I found within the ruins, A bud, so green, reaching for the light. I heard the bleating of a new-born lamb Among the devastation I saw an eagle cry and soar so high On the winds of freedom in the sky And so I learnt that life went on, And so I knew that life always, goes on.
