To hear the lazy shushing Summer’s waves
As they tumble pebbles over
In their eternal cycles.
To smell the air after rain;
So fresh, this cleansed earth
Renewed in life.
To feel cool water clothe my skin,
Its shapeless, liquid blanket
Soothes the harm.
To taste the tang of memory
That returns you to your
Younger, carefree world.
To believe there is much more
Joy, much more hope
Still left to find in this world,
From this day, tomorrow,

My friend, this is so lovingly beautiful, softly comforting and
delightfully lifting. Wow. I was on the beach in my mind while
reading this. I could smell the salty air, feel the sun's rays,
and the spray of ocean's breath; I could hear the waves
crash to shore ... it was all so splendid. A delight for all
the senses and an absolute serene feeling.

Wonderful write, Dom. So completely beautiful ~

Honestly this has got to be in the very top 5 of the most beautiful and imagery filled, loaded to the gills poems that i have had the privelege to be a part of. I'm only jealous that i did'nt write it myself(jk). I will be following you as well my friend. You have magic in your pen. Warmly, Chrissy

A heart stopping peace that should be read each day ones feet hit the floor. The day would be filled with awareness and the gratitude of being a part of the everything of life. You show with this piece....your inner peace and it is beautiful indeed.
