Are you breathing
Do you inhale and exhale as I do
oxygen...carbon dioxide exchange
Or are you walking without soul?

Do you see your reflection mirrored
Lines on your face
Can you touch gently what you see
Have you grown too old?

Bleeding eyes no longer see
trails of indignant ones
Is your skin so tough
Has everything grown cold?

World is askew
Time aches as it ticks slowly on
I watch and wait...lonely
Just listening to what I'm told

Ah, yes... sounds like one of those moments that you just want to take someone by the shoulders, give them a good shake, look them in the eye and holler "what the hell is going on in there?". I've had a few of those myself. And, of course, I suppose any of us could take that approach... but it is, I think anyway, sometimes a scary question to ask. To be honest... I've no idea whether it is or is not the best course of action. Seriously, I don't have a clue there. I know one thing though... most, if not all, of us would probably agree that it would sure be lovely if an inclination to take such an approach was eliminated by our knowing, already, the answer.

The questions here echo a need-to-know'edness. And geesh... seem stuffed with so very much. I do so hope that the answers come, regardless of what prompts them to.

*hugs you*

These are words that bare heavy thought. Lost and afraid. I hope writing help ease the pain you write about today.
