Even the sound
of the word
Sparks-

Attitude

(Whether righteous or NOT)

It comes swiftly,
blazing through out
hearts and veins

Or as persistant
as a pulse
Pounding again and again

Until....
Acknowledged

Indignation -
a raising
of one's head
a spark in the
narrowing eyes

Squaring of shoulders
an impatient intake
of breath

You have gotten
my attention

Now -, let's talk......

Indignation -
Even the sound
of the word
Sparks-

Laura's right, of course... it's been too long! I do so hope that you've been well. Hope you're blazing down that highway that we talked about a while ago (I'm either lingering on the shoulder or cruising at light speed - oddly enough, it's hard to tell which at times).

This piece has a punch. Indignation. You're right - the word itself says plenty. As do the other words you've placed on the page with it.

Glad to see you posting again!
