Array ( [sid] => 136443 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Apathy to dejection [time] => 2007-08-03 03:25:14 [hometext] => Doesn't really apply to me now but I was feeling pretty down. [bodytext] => Nothing remains... The chains that bound me to my goddess have been severed. The brief moment of ecstasy that had enraptured me has passed. My demons have bested me in every way, and the goddess shines for me no longer. Her heart indeed proved to be too heavy a burden and I was unable to protect it from myself. My arms still cling to the chains that once bound me to the greatest treasure I would ever find.

No more shining goddess, no more happiness, no more love. All I have are fond memories that I contemplate in the heart of the ubiquitous darkness. So what am I now? Am I even worthy to be called something so low as man? My vows are broken and I have been proven a liar... Worm, would prove a more befitting title as compared to my behavior.

I promised to take care of her fragile heart but in essence, I destroyed it. So what is left for an empty vessel such as me in this broken state? What purpose to serve? My life had meaning, and my heart had a home, but now only an overwhelming sense of dejection has grasped me and it embraces me like my lost love once did.

What else is there but to stand at the mouth of hell and cast myself into it's diabolic depths? Maybe I can spend the rest of my time there paying pennance for my sins. My eyes have lost their sight, breath comes with labor, and I am perceptive of nothing. The devil waves his contract and smiles a sarcastic yet deeply satisfied grin. I'm so close to signing in blood, i'm so close to becoming a ghost.
