So few I can recall.
My life just seems like patchwork dreams--
It makes no sense at all.
My quilt portrays the 'yesterdays'
Woven within my mind.
Disorderly embroidery
Intricately entwined.
Resentment spurns random patterns
Whose meanings are inane.
Does deranged art serve to impart
That I'm no longer sane?
As time goes by I question my
Mental stability.
I'm too far gone; a paragon
Of insecurity.
For many years my salty tears
Corroded consciousness.
Exposing pain, disdain did reign
With sheer maliciousness.
Now threads of hope just cannot cope
With feelings I've confined.
Each fragile stitch starts to unhitch
The fabric of my mind.

| Dear Springchic, I love this poem and relate to it. I felt like this many years. When you can write this with insight into yourself, you are on your way out of it. There are many reasons for feeling this way besides insanity, but it does make you wonder, doesn't it? Bizzy |
