Array ( [sid] => 137247 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Not sure yet [time] => 2007-09-11 12:53:13 [hometext] => I'm basically saying that I've taken all I can take, I'm on the edge, one more thing and I'm afraid I'm gonna snap. More coming soon!!! [bodytext] => Hung by the rope of my aspiration

Renounce my burden to this Nation

You're taking this, I'm giving that

I want no part in your trumped up fad

The epitome of selflessness misused

Patiently waiting as the scars are accrued

I'm biding my time until the path is clear

I always take on more than I can endear

Been pushed too far, so I'm pushing back

Your conformed design fades to black

Some people say that ignorance is bliss

But my impulse can't let me overlook this

Everything I hate seems to be a reflection of me

I can't decide if this is real or just a memory

Mistake my kindness for a lapse of my untold spirit

I warrant homage and let every man hear it

I've come so far that I'm behind again

I lose control and my world starts to spin

The scale's one sided, tipped in the direction of agony

I can end it with one bullet, serve a purpose to society

I've given all I can give, and taken nothing but affliction

But I still sacrifice myself for you, cuz it's my contrite addiction

that's definitely a heartfelt poem...
remember to look in for the beauty in life as well...
sometimes it's hard to find...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
