Array ( [sid] => 137811 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Mom and Dad [time] => 2007-10-13 01:50:17 [hometext] => This poem was written to my parents to help them understand a little bit about their little girl [bodytext] => Why do I feel all this hurt and pain?
At times I feel like I am going madly insane.
Mom and dad are forever doubting me,
Why can't they understand that all I want is to be free?
I want to travel and see the world,
So that I can discover who is this girl.
So lost up in her crazy thoughts of suicide,
For she has no one to love at her side.
Mom and Dad always telling me to stay home,
Not knowing that there is where I feel so alone.
I know they love me and want what's best,
But all they are doing is hurting me instead.
Some day I know they will understand that I have grown,
And that it is now time for me to be on my own.
So that when they leave this world to rest in peace,
I will be able to live and give myself what I need.
Please mom and dad just take one look into your daughter's eyes,
Without judging the girl she is inside.
Please take the pain and hurt out of my life,
And help me to once more to give things another try.
