I wonder, sir,
If you deserve the respect
That you have
I wonder, sir,
Why your people you neglect
And yet their undying faith, bizarre.
Do you scare them?
Using your power to enforce it
Fear can only get you so far.

Crimson and green
Money and blood
Do you bathe in that?
I wonder, sir,
How you manage to keep clean,
You treat the world like a foot map.
How do you sleep at night
With the screams of children
Echoing around you?

I wonder, sir,
Do you even care
I must say, you disgust me at sight.
Mothers crying,
Children dying,
I wonder, sir, are you even trying?
I'm sorry if I seem bitter
But sir, you treat us like kitty litter
Even if we're not from your country.

I hope that when
You're dining on your giant meals
That you choke and those who don't eat come to mind.
And this letter I write, not to offend
But, I wonder, sir,
Are you behind the morals you "defend"?
I'm sorry, honestly, that you succeed
Lying, destroying, scaring, controlling, people are people, not animals,
...Land of the free indeed... [comments] => 4 [counter] => 324 [topic] => 41 [informant] => Karlee14 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 12 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => political )

I especially liked the ending to this

"Land of the free indeed"

At what price is this so called freedom really ?
Nice work

I agree with you on every stanza, line, and word.
If only the 'President', if one could go as far to give him that title, could read this?
Lovely poetry you have hear.
