[title] => Refugee Camp.
[time] => 2007-11-19 15:18:15
[hometext] => A sneak preview inside a so called refugee camp I happen to visit recently.
[bodytext] => Columns of rising toxic smolder, desiccated toddlers wide eyes gazing beyond fuming grayed skyline, knowing not a reason for the booming explosions, shattered homes and their bleak future. In rags, they stand awaiting for a piece of bread and a place to rest, contained by the coiled barbed hedges; querying within, searching for an answer on every face they catch a glimpse of, queries yet to be riposted. Eyes that mutely cry yet loud, for weak hearts to rumble, their words may fumble but not the hate that swell within infantile consciousness, against power and power-mongers like a lethal weed choking clean thoughts and tolerance to demise. “The refugee camp” one may call, knowing little that, camp, where hate and deception grow together hand in hand under the watchful eyes of so-called peacemakers. Here love snatched from infancy, hate to feed upon, can Good News and blood of scarifies prevail? One wonders. -FRANCO- [comments] => 2 [counter] => 185 [topic] => 13 [informant] => FRANCO [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
