Array ( [sid] => 138820 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => My Life [time] => 2007-11-27 13:34:59 [hometext] => This is a poem about me that I wrote to let out my feeling and pent up anger about my rape and it's all true. I just want to let any other girl out their who have been through what I have been through that your not alone and it was NEVER your fault. [bodytext] => Since the moment I was concieved,

lots of love I recieved.

I grew up in a little home,

so I was never alone.

I have a brother, a sister, and friends,

I hope this feeling never ends.

All this happiness you can see,

but who would know that it could happen to me.

It was a night of wild thrills,

their were people with alcohol and pills.

How could I have known one was in my drink,

I just drank I didn't think.

Moments after I knew something wasn't right,

their was a dizziness I couldn't fight.

What was wrong with me I couldn't tell,

one drink and I felt like hell.

Stumbling down a hall for help,

I was suddenly shoved and I gave a yelp.

Two pairs of arms so strong,

my conciousness slipping, it wouldn't be long.

Trying stuggle with all my might,

I was struck for trying to fight.

Next thing I know I was alone and awake,

remebering it now I begin to shake.

They took it from me and I'll never get it back,

the times I cried I couldn't keep track.

These men showed me the ultamite disrespect,

it was then I began to reflect.

Instead of wallowing in my own self pity,

I'm going to change this world by leaving this city.

Human Kind was given a life,

and yet we create disasters full of strife.

I'm going to help those in need,

I'm going to clothe love and feed.

This disaster that happened to me,

is kind of a blessing you can't really see.

It gave me the motivation to care,

and of how to give to those out their.

I will not let this stop me from living,

and it won't stop me from ever loving

...my life

It is so sad that you were hurt as you were. There is a lot of feeling in your poem. Well done.

YOU'RE WHAT I CALL-AMAZING! YOU TOOK THIS HORRIBLE TRAGEDY,STRONG & TRUE TO REACH OUT TO OTHERS & TRY TO COMFORT & HELP - IT ONLY HAS TO PROVE... YOU'VE GOT THE STRENGTH TO OVERCOME & DEFEAT YOUR DEMONS,I
WISH THE REST OF THE WORLD WAS LIKE THIS-THEN THERE WOULD BE NO WARS,
ONLY LOVE TO FOREVER LAST FURTHER MORE!

DAN!

You've done a great job with this write and tragedy.
When you use your life to help others you take away the power of the one that violated you.
You should be really proud of yourself.
huggs, luv, prayers,
emy

It is something no woman should have to endure , yet so many are forced to.
I wrote a poem on the same subject, called More Than Just a Crime, because it is !!
I'm glad that somehow you are finding the strength to cope with it

Steve

A very powerful writing. It actually gave me chills!
There's no doubt in my mind that you're a very strong young woman who has not lost her heart even through such a violation.

I feel that your poem has the power to change lives.
