Another year that will hit me hard,
I find it dfficult to read the words,
The writing becomes all hazy and blurred.

As my tears fall on the writing,
The grip of reality is ever tightening,
Christmas should be a time of cheer,
Yet for me it's the hardest part of the year.

Losing you was so hard to bear,
I just won't believe that you're not there,
I hope that I wake up and it's just a dream,
But inside I feel my damaged soul scream.

Your place is here with us at home,
But onto heavens breeze is where you were blown,
Out of our reach ,out of our grasp,
I suffer a hurt that will ever last.

This year mum will only sign her name,
From now on my Christmas will never be the same,
I wish your names where still together,
But this is the way it'll stay forever.

I don't want to accept that you have gone,
Never to return to where you belong,
Maybe this Christmas if I wish hard,
Your name will appear on my Christmas card.

Oh Pix, this is so painful to read. You just laid your heart out there. It was beautiful, sadly beautiful. I do understand your pain. Holidays are always so happy for some, for others, it's a time of bitter remembrance of those that once made the holidays absolutely full of spirit. I'm relieved I have my children, it has helped some, with getting through these tender times.
Big hugs and much peace,
Laura

My dear friend, this is probably your best work yet. I always knew you had a talent for digging deep inside your soul for your inspiration, but this time you have somehow gone one step beyond in terms of the quality of your words.

I always say a great piece of writing stirs an emotion in the reader, whatever that emotion may be. This does it in a way I've never seen before. Now I'm back on this site I'm looking forward to much more of your work.

Love always,

Pander
