It’s not like the tv shows
where families bond and promise grows;
Mother’s lie and turn away
Colours fade to shades of grey

So unlike the virtual land
where siblings form a merry band;
Father’s hit and families break
shame and fear left in their wake

All grown up we try to rate
with episodes of love and hate
but end up cancelled, running last,
doomed to re-enact our past

Parents rarely know what’s best,
sullen souls and scars attest
brother’s kick and sister’s tell,
but on tv, all is well. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 293 [topic] => 23 [informant] => spike [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 35 [ratings] => 7 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

Lately on tv all I seem to see are infomercials...they are driving me mad.
Where is the Red Skelton Show and What happened to Ed Sullivan and all his entertainers...BeWitched...What happened to Tabetha...TV is total crap today.
The violence is good though..you can raise some healthy psycopaths watching that......I wish I had never bought a TV and invested in a well equiped library in the house when my kids were growing up..
