It will never be the same
The truth shall always be known
Underneath all the layers
Deep down to sinewed muscle and bone

No matter what happens
It will not go away
It lingers and corrodes
No matter what they say

Knowing that it is unhealthy
To live within your grip
This love is becoming something else
Definitely a "long strange trip"

If this falls all apart
And dust we do become
Then all I can say baby
Is look what we've done

strong and deep poetry Laura. Remember the good stuff goes to the core as well - it's just harder to hold on to.

There comes a point where all you can do is rebuild, and you can, you must. Be strong, because strength is in you.
Take care,
David

Sweets, this is desperately deep and vividly real. Sometimes it is so
hard to continue to patch wounds, especially ones we didn't even notice
were there, but hope and strength are there for you. You have an
honesty and beauty of heart that is necessary to move into that
strangeness that is tomorrow. The unknown. All we can do is hope
that it is all it promises to be. All we want it to be. All we need it to
be...

Sorry I've been so busy lately. Now that the craziness of retail
has a slower pace, I'll be able to come back more frequently. :)
[After I move to the new place :) ]

love this hun. And love you.

hugs and best wishes for the New Year. Great things are in store for you

~MG

Well penned,Laura.
Once the corrosion takes a hold, the shine is lost forever.
And nothing left say,except-
"Look what we have done"
How cuttingly true that is.

Hi Laura,

This is a very poigant poem....it gets right to the guts of the matter. It really struck me as a heart felt expression of how stiffling it is to be in a relationship that is controlling and domeneering. There is often permission to be your own person. These are very toxic relationships.

At least that's how the poem struck me, a powerfufl write, my friend

"The truth shall always be known"~you

But, pleeeeease don't forget that, "truth",
is also an evolving entity that w/ our better
understanding can grow untill the greater
scope it provides can give us ease in place
of pain for our knowledge of it... having been
blessed w/ the gift of expriencing this I feel
qualified in reassuring you that it is not only
possible but realistically obtainable. You can't
force yourself to it, but you must open yourself to it.
Pleeeease Believe!

& as to the other 15 lines of your write, teehee.
The flow came effortlessly to me
as it was well written & I absolutely love
the shared partnering of responsiblity in
your title...it speaks to awareness if not
happiness...
