Miles and miles away from help

The only thing to keep us warm

Has died without warn.

Lost in a moment's silence

Whispers in the wind...

Last pictures you took

Are now scattered across the floor.

Memories of us

Faded as time passed us by.

What to do now?

Is there anything left to say?

You don't move,

I presume too much...

Trying not too look at you,

I know what's wrong.

You aren't speaking,

The air is cold and fragile,

Motionless.

Screams are lost in thin air,

Sound can't escape.

This moment lasts forever,

Hours upon hours,

Days on end.

Nothing is there to save us,

We've met our fate.

Nothing to break our fall

We're going down alone.

My mind races,

Running in circles.

Thoughts always reach

The same destination.

Will you be there to break my fall?

Will you be there to catch me?

Windows fog

As rain falls all around.

Vulnerability at it's finest hour.

I glance in time to see your final breath,

I hold you in my arms.

I close my eyes,

and we stay like this forever.

(if we run far away, do you think we will ever die?)

Very nicely written.
