The air was warm,
Crisp and clean.
It came without warning
It started with just, a gentle breeze.
The clouds started rolling in circles
The sun began to hide.
Dark they get dark as can be,
The heavens will unleash there fury,
Like so many times before.
Oh how beautiful as the sky turns to green.
As it draws near the sky shades to pink
The air has turned to cold as the sky begins to dump.
The animals dash across the prairie
Looking for shelter for this wont is pretty.
Down….down comes the rain,
Washing away all of life’s impurities.
The storm is in full swing like a
Angry horde of barbarians raping and pillaging the valley.
As the winds begin to reside and the wrath has ended
It begins again this time unleashing icy pellets.
Time has run out for the undergrowth of the
Plains, as the storm rolls out as quickly as it came in.
The rain is beautiful crisp and clean,
Bring back life to the decaying plains.

Patrick

Patrick, this is very visual full of images. I can hear rolls of thunder and smell the rain.
Bring back life to the decaying plains..... God I loved that......

I spent several years in the desert and that is fitting.. Now I am living somewhere it rains alot and I must say ahhhhh how I have missed the rain.

I loved the animals running too......

Horses...... loved a storm brewing and the horses thundering through the fields......

Nice write

Michelle
