Whispers through the stars
Of God, earth, and angelic things
Gentle prayers resonating off my breath
Embracing her battle, her life
Her spirit and all thats still left
The flickers of hope that still linger in her eyes
And my unwavering faith even when her heart begins to cry
Calming the fright with just the touch of my hand
Wrapping my strength around her life like a protective band
She who is my creator, she who gave me life
And now we fight together for hers
I'd bleed my heart dry just to find a cure
And in the moments where she feels that she can no longer try
I will part the clouds for her and show her a blue sky
Pull her out from that darkness within
Remind her that a brand new future is about to begin
I'll stand by her side until the very end
She's the core of my being and my very best friend
Kneeling before God we patiently wait
Gripping a rosary tight awaiting the fate
Knowing that she could so easily be gone tomorrow
I paint on a smile for her to mask my sorrow
I put my trust in God to heal this disease
Shiny a holy light upon the pink ribbon on my sleeve
And over and over again
These gentle prayers fall delicately from my lips...
Dear Lord Heavenly Father,
Take my faith as I give free of all temptation
Take my soul and eternity in exchange
For my mothers salvation
Free her of this suffering and pain
Cleanse her life with these tears
That fall like eternal rain
End the struggle, appease the strife
Dear Lord please save my mothers life...
Heed these gentle prayers...
Amen. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 171 [topic] => 65 [informant] => bleedthelove [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )
