If you take a simple kindness
Apply it to a wounded heart to mend
It will be returned tenfold
In the smiles of a friend
~~~~~ [bodytext] => Simple Kindness
You performed a simple kindness
Inspired a wounded soul
With eyes of amazement and wonder
You watched the ripples grow
Yes the ripples kept spreading
Ever outward in their reach
Until one small act of kindness
Many others did teach
And with every new act of kindness
Another ripple grows
Until every human heart
A simple kindness knows
Russ
Russ ... Your message is so true ... a gift so small can create so much happiness in another. I know, it happened to me a few days ago ... so I then tried to write a poem as a thank you about holding on to that sliver of happiness forever, but words escaped me and my poem ended up like all my others :((( Even though your poem is short and sweet it speaks a thousand words... Excellent write ... Jan
