I stand before you, humble
As I hold out my empty hand
Overwhelmed, I stumble
But I know you understand
Aching as I do
My anguish is unexplained
It's torment not to hold you
This emptiness has me chained
Yearning for you close to me
But, we've never had a chance
Fate is cruel, we'll both agree
Reality will mar this romance
Destiny is not to be denied
And the seperation will surely sting
So tuck me closely to your side
Gather me into your arms as I cling
My courageous, kindred heart...
My strong, beloved soul...
Realize, as it unravels apart
We could have made each other whole.
