Array ( [sid] => 140883 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => If tomorrow never comes [time] => 2008-03-09 15:52:12 [hometext] => Lord Willing I'll be back ...if not ...thus the poem! No big words, no hidden meanings ...just a poem. [bodytext] => If tomorrow never comes and I've seen my last sunrise
things we shared and laughed about will still be yours and mine
My music flowing lightly......... as on a balmy breeze,
my words still yet to ponder ...... left here for all to see.
A wisp of wind, a drop of rain takes all what's left in hand
impressions made will soon be gone, like foot prints in the sand
How can one leave with out a kiss, without a last good-bye
I heard my name ......A voice did call...... I left without a sigh
If one last time to hold your hand, a smile and then a kiss
into your eyes I'd gaze .... these things how I shall miss
For leaving's seldom planned for, it's never a good time
we soon become a memory, to those we left behind
For rivers keep on flowing, the sun will rise again
trees in all their splendor, leaves fall , limbs break and bend
Life goes on with out me ..... there's always a new day
With open arms was beckoned ....... I saw no need to stay
Tomorrow's not for certain.... today will disappear
I heard the call and left it all.....for me, please shed no tears
If tomorrow never comes for me, you'll know it was my time
Just turn your eyes toward the sky ...... enjoy my last sunrise [comments] => 4 [counter] => 255 [topic] => 21 [informant] => UnknownLegend [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Gorgeous. This is true poetry in every sense. Even your pauses are perfectly in rhythm with the cadence of the poem. Beautiful. I am humbled.
