I see the pain in your eyes,
The pain you try so hard to disguise.
I hear the hurt in your voice,
‘Did I make the right choice?’
I can’t imagine what you feel
But I know that your pain is real.
I see the sadness on your face,
And wish that joy would take its place.

I look at you and I feel so sorry.
With each passing day all I do is worry.
I know you can't turn back the hands of time
But my friend, life isn’t always sublime.
You don’t have to face it alone
And I’m sure you must have known
That I’ll be here for you once more
Just like I was there for you before.

Beautifully put, Jenni. And it's wonderful to see the loyalty here.
In a world where loyalties are bent and ofttimes broken, we all need
the hope and beauty that lives inside your poem.

Gorgeous write!

~Breezy
