Rendering restless souls to lay in unrest yet again.
Whispers stir; hushing breaths scream through the evening sky;
Cries quiet the silence as one rises above the din,
Begging for but one whisper to embrace.

Oh, how this Darkness shrouds every aching dream,
Every breath stolen by the wind, every pant borrowed from sorrow
To atone for yesterday and tomorrow.
Tamper with this night if a trusting touch can be found,
Or lay in slumber until it’s time to mourn the morn.

Dreams pervade and consume every sober thought;
Undaunted by setting suns and godless moons,
Or by illuminated demons hovering in the unlit skies.
Every waking eye upon them, as new wishes are born…
Soon to be lost…as the night is forever unrelenting.

wow, this has more than depth to it. It has a belabored, neverending pain to it. A nightmare with no chance of waking.
I am very impressed!

WOW ... not sure there is much more I can say ... OK ... so maybe there is.

Completely gripping ... I think the second stanza to be incredibly compelling.

Bravo my friend.

Peace

Just picked a random poem off your page
and knew it would be brilliant. I loved every
line, but "Tamper with this night if a trusting
touch can be found..." was such a profound
line to me. I can only imagine what must
have been going through your mind as you
wrote this. Awesome write Wiz.
