These loving little girls of mine
They ask for nothing more than my love
For them…strongly felt and deeply rooted

They look up at me with wondering eyes
And I see the tears just beginning to form
They miss their hero, their rock, their dad
The first real love these girls will ever know

They look up at me with wondering eyes
Hearts simultaneously hopeful and fearful
Will the tumultuous life that theirs has become
Lead them to the happiness they so badly want?

I look down at them with a daddy’s eyes
These loving little girls of mine
Wanting for my daughters the best life can bring
Searching my heart for the right way to give it to them

I look down at them with a daddy’s eyes
I feel my tears just beginning to form
I miss my babies, my loves, my daughters
The only real loves that will outlast me

I look down at them with a daddy’s eyes
Heart simultaneously hopeful and fearful
I pray the decisions I’ve made in their lives
Will not leave scars, and that their hearts will heal

We look at each other with love in our eyes
Father to daughters, daughters to Daddy
We have a bond between us as strong as iron
Please, God….let it be enough.

Awesome. VERY touching and powerfull. Can associate with your pain. Even if it is not enough...sometimes its all we can do on our part...the rest is up to them, but with a love like that....that is enough....more than you can ever imagine.

Good luck. Beautiful writing.

Firstly, let me welcome you to YPDC, the best poetry site on the net....
So heartfelt and touching. Your love for your daughters can be felt throughout and the pain as well. I am sure with the love you have for them, they will eventually survive this.. Just continue loving them and supporting them in whatever they do...
