is yourself...
And how your world
is continually trapped
in the void that is
darkness.

You claim that there is
nothing left within you
Alas, I must disagree
cause within your
dark and gloomy soul
I see a light.

A small flicker
of hope that there
is some good still
in you.

You could choose to
harness this light
this power and
change for the better.

But you decide
to remain
submerged in
darkness.

You go back to the
Succubus that
tarnished your soul.

You think things
will only get better
but they will not.

The Succubus will
only wait for her
opportunity...
to take your heart,
tearing it out of your chest,
to make you watch
as she tortures it
ruthlessly...
until there is nothing
but pieces
left upon the floor.

So as you sit there
with the remains of
your foolish heart,
the darkness continues
to feed upon you
like a parasite.

Until finally that
little flicker of hope
will forever be
extinguished.

And I will have lost you
forever. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 174 [topic] => 48 [informant] => night_goddess666 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
