That everyone will want to keep in an album.
But every time I try,
It comes out boring and dry.
And most of the time, it’s about the same guy.

I want to write something worth remembering,
Something that will make people wonder how I came up with such a thing.
Yet every time I try,
It leaves me wondering why.

I want to write something so beautiful that it will bring someone to tears,
Something that will help people face their fears.
But I’ve only been doing this for a few years.
So every time I try,
It comes out pathetic enough to make me want to cry.

I can’t seem to get my point across well enough.
It sounds almost…rough.
And then add in the rhymes…
I may as well go stand with the mimes.

I try and I try to write something incredibly great,
But I think I shall just accept my fate.
Writing the “perfect” poem is something that will have to wait.

We all have our unique way of writing for one.
I myself know when I try to hard for that "perfect poem" it does not transpire. Cut it lose let it go......
I like your writes, at times I think you do try to hard to force the rhyme, (as we all do at times) play around with it dont worry so much! You do have it in you.

When someone stirs the reader there is your start!

Keep going do not give up and dont cry it is all good.

Hugs

Michelle

when words portray what you feel in the heart, it cannot be imperfect..

There is senseless shame and humility all over this one. You admit that your best is yet to come, and by saying that, you challenge yourself every time you write, which is what it's all about.

haha, I really liked this one. Put me back to Earth.

This is good....I echo what Shelby, Vic and Alex wrote.....Keep at it.... What may not appear perfect to you may stir up emotions in another and be that 'perfect ' poem...

Art, no matter what it is, a painting, a story
or a poem, is perfect if it came from the
heart and emotions of the artist.

This was beautiful.
Keep it up
