comes once in a life time. it's features do hide
will she burn oh so brightly, .....for all to see
or will she just shine .... only for me
I now see her clearly, her trail of light
a show for the ages, a spectacle so bright
The world stops a moment, this comet to see
her presence brings awe, of who she might be
She'll give not her secrets, no words she will share
all earthly possessions are paled by her glare
she comes to me blindly ....out of the night
speeding er' forward .... a joyous delight
Out of the void she'll soon come to pass
alone in the cosmos, forever to last
this trail of light ..awesome and free
If I call to her, will she notice me
so sudden she came ... and so shall she leave
into the night with no final reprieve
will there be an encore? no, not in my time
are you even aware, of the gist of this rhyme?
for she is the moment, the one that you dream
she comes ever to you, a light so she seems
but just as surely, that moment won't last
if you fail to embrace her, to soon she will pass
this one you envisioned, a comet so bright
so quickly goes by and is lost to the night.
to fly on forever, to never have been?
Just like that comet, She's "Gone with the wind" [comments] => 4 [counter] => 193 [topic] => 24 [informant] => UnknownLegend [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )
