Array ( [sid] => 142153 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A US Marine [time] => 2008-05-05 13:25:18 [hometext] => Just a small view into my life now that I have grown up and joined the Corps [bodytext] => Here I sit and wait
Bound by fate
To walk the path of a killing man
In camo and boots is where I stand
I am one of the proud few
A US Marine, oh if you knew

How twisted they make us
How warped we are
Our minds are unstable
Sanity seems so far
The sense of normal ripped away
To become the best its what we pay
Men raised in the sand
Trained to kill by God forsaken hands
We are the proud few
US Marines, oh if only you knew

That we wake before the rising sun
How we run all day till the running is done
We play how we train and train how we fight
Its no surprise that we are mentally not right
To go to war and kill another
Bound to the Corps as a band of brothers
This is how we were taught to live
In this world that is quick to take and never give
We are the proud few
US Marines, Lord I wish you knew

Pray for our souls and keep them tight
We'll need them if we survive the fight
Keep our humanity and our emotions too
The Corps wouldnt let me keep mine so I leave them to you
So once again I say to you
We are the proud few
US Marines, tried and true
