THE STAGECOACH RIDE

A stagecoach ride to the station
Breathing dust in the air from the wheels
Strong shocks though a thin seat cushion
A misery that all of us feels
We entered a small town on the trail
Reigned in horses at the Hotel
Some passengers enter and exit
Just how many I could not tell
A lady stepped into our carriage
She sat down just across from me
I could smell the fragrance of lilac
She was as lovely as I ever did see
A pretty smile helped break the ice
She's a school marm a ways away
Came to visit her folks for a while
Shop for a wedding gown and bouquet
She was on her way home to marry
In two weeks she would be a Wife
All their wedding plans were completed
I'd never see her again in my life
But of course I was wrong, I did see her
I watched as she walked down the Isle
I shall remember that day forever
Because all that remains is her smile

A flowing beautiful poem and what images you created here. I could smell the dust then I smelled the lilac pictured it all. Bravo! You brought life to me reading this. Sorry I am blabbing lol.
