one takes wing at morning light ..... and sighs a tearful sigh
I thought that you would be the one of all the ones before
inside I knew the feelings grew, too strong now to ignore
one must go to search the clouds for things yet still brand new
the other still in search of things..... of what, he has no clue
this room where love and passion lived, where once they did reside
to soon the wonder there within, the love and passion dies
if you'd have stayed a little while, for just a week or two
you would have learned what you and I, really never knew
from where I stood I heard the tears as you walked 'cross the floor
my face away it dare not stray, 'til you walk thru the door
If I'd have thought that you'd look back I'd never turned around
the eyes to meet for one last time, spoke soft without a sound
yours to me so low and sweet ...... "please don't let me go"
and mine to you.... "please walk away. " Why ?... I'll never know
one slowly walks on out the door and leaves there much too soon
the other follows as trails do ...... it's now an empty room

Fantastic write, an answer poem: Sue

This room I have seen and felt the hurt, the consequence thats true.
For loneliness it followed , nothing less , for me or you
Within this room , my heart did bleed, my feelings left akimbo
My tearful eyes are testament, to the love now lost in limbo
Emptiness is all I see, contentment lies bleeding on that floor
And if I could make a wish come true, I would see an open door
Depression seeps through every pore, regrets they swallow me
Life is but a two edged sword, and now I truly see
