Array ( [sid] => 14295 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => OUR AIR [time] => 2003-03-14 15:40:00 [hometext] => [bodytext] => Honesty was the air that brushed through your hair
It was unlike anything that had never crossed your thoughts
So fresh so natural, and so fair

Like the web that was un-carefully put together
We were both caught in a moment that we wish we hadn’t been caught in
And even though you spun away from me, I admired that you were so clever,

Untangling the tracks that we were both following, and setting them straight
But even though my emotions were predominantly of admiration,
I still did feel a hint of hate

It was unfortunate that may words had speared your walls,
Belive me I know… But take comfort in the fact that they weren’t my intentions:
To make you feel tied, and to pass off as pretentious

But honesty is a lady that sits high on the top of a pillar
A pillar that begins at my heart and goes up to the back of my mouth
And although having tasted honesty made you feel scared
There was no excuse for you having killed her

Honesty was the air that brushed through your hair and made you look beautiful
But you take things for granted,
You couldn’t give in to the idea of giving in, and you hated being dutiful

And now that the communication has ceased,
And that our ties have been untangled, it is easy to see,
How just the simple fact that you stopped believing
Made our world stop breathing.

I could not follow the flow of feelings. I felt like I was on road with no scenery.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
